The Cathedral Tour of Homes for 2019

For forty eight winters, the Cathedral of St. Phillips in Atlanta has sponsored an
Antique Show, Flower Festival, Guest Speakers, Book signings and a Tour of Homes.
This Atlanta tradition is also one of the largest shows in the southeast and is
the tour that starts the touring girls off for 2019.

There were five homes on this years tour and I want to share
this one that we voted "Best of Show!"

When designer, Allison Allen's husband Beau inherited his grandparents', former mayor Ivan and Louise Allen's home, in Atlanta, it was in such a state of disrepair,
everyone thought it was a tear down. Allison created a transformation
in two months time and gave the 67 year old home a major face lift!

Allison used plenty of blue and white accents and incorporated
Chinoiserie accents to honor Beau's grandmother, Louise
Allen's love of Asian influence.
Time for the tour!

Allison found this picture of Louise and gave it to Beau for his birthday!

It is not easy finding pictures of these homes where people are gracious enough
to open their doors to the public. Fortunately these two homes had previously
been photographed for other publications.
This next home gave us something to talk about!
Several years back on this same tour, we were given a tour of Boxwood, the home
that Miles Reed designed for Danielle Rollins and her family.
Danielle has since started her own design business and has moved
into another home with her children.

So very much to see while we tour this home!

This concludes our tour of two exceptional homes on the
Cathedral Tour of Homes 2019. I hope you have enjoyed it.
It won't be long till Spring arrives and several of the best tours in
the Southeast will take place. Be sure and follow the information below to see
