Interior Design Across the Pond

What is it about Americans and our fascination with all things British? Last week we were glued to our televisions and computers following Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.

I hope you got to watch the Concert for the Queen. It had a great line up of some incredible talent. It was estimated there were over 100,000 revellers
partying along the Mall and into St James's Park.

It ended with the most increible fireworks display!

In honor of the Diamond Jubilee I want to share with you some of the
things that are on the British Design scene.

The  Union Jack logo is showing up all over the design industry.

This distinctive tufted and buttoned traditional leather sofa
is known as the Chesterfield. It was named after the 4th Earl of Chesterfield.

Fun wallpaper using iconic British emblems.

A very special wallhanging to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
was created by The Rug Company.

The Rug Company also designed the rug for the Royal Rowbarge the Gloriana.

Diamond Jubilee Pillows by Jan Constantine.

The Diamond Jubilee is showing up in other areas such as fashion, jewelry and
gourmet goodies too.

God Save the Queen and Happy Diamond Jubilee!

Isn't she cute!
